Vordere Ramsau The road from Ramsau to Rossing is called Vordere Ramsau. It is about 2 km long and has chalets and farm houses dotted along it. Most of them are set back slighty from the road on short drives. These tracks have numbers rather than names, which are displayed on a sign with a white number and circle on a red background. Kohlroserl shares 515 with another chalet, a farmhouse, and a baker's house. If you need help, see Bernhard and Elizabet Gerharter at Sonnenhugel (they have a spare key). There are fields on either side and the mountains rise behind to the north. Further along the road are more farms, a vet, a stable, a dairy and several hotels. The hotels allow non-residents for drinks and meals (but not the swimming pool) |

Bus service There are 2 bus services along Vordere Ramsau which pass the end of our lane. One goes through Ramsau Ort to the Dachstein ski area.. The other goes through Ramsau Kulm and down to Schaldming passing though Untere and Obere Leiten on the way. Both are useful for skiing and shopping. The second connects with the train to the airports. |
